Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I need to use Painmaster?

Micro current therapy, which operates at the cellular level using micro-currents, may yield gradual results due to its gentle approach. Therefore, patience is crucial in achieving optimal outcomes through this therapy.

While some individuals may notice improvements within a few hours, others may require several days of initial treatment to determine its effectiveness. It is essential to recognise that not every pain treatment method is suitable for everyone. Conducting a trial will help ascertain whether Painmaster is compatible with your needs.

If you experience ongoing pain, it is highly advised to consult your doctor promptly for professional guidance.

Will I feel an electrical current from Painmaster Patches?

The painmaster MCT patch produces a micro current that is typically too weak to be detected by most individuals. This low level of current makes it virtually imperceptible to the majority of people.

However, the fact that you don't feel the current doesn't mean the patch is not working. If the unit has a red light on, the patches are working fine.

Is Painmaster different from a TENS machine?

Microcurrent therapy and TENS are two distinct forms of electrotherapy devices that operate at different current levels to provide different types of relief.

Unlike TENS, Painmaster microcurrent therapy does more than just block pain signals; it may also assist in reducing inflammation caused by the underlying condition responsible for the pain. As a result, it is particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic pain conditions who require long-term pain management.

However, Painmaster is not suitable for short-term pain relief. Also, you will usually feel a tingling sensation with a TENS machine, which you don't feel with Painmaster.

Does Painmaster come with spare patches?

You will find one set of patches inside each Painmaster pack. If you are careful, clean your skin with mild soap and/or alcohol wipes and store them correctly, the patches usually last as long as the battery.

Are the batteries replaceable?

Painmaster's battery is hard wired to make sure that the patches conduct exactly the amount of electricity needed. In fact, its lifespan is the same as the unit's. Once the battery drains, you'll need to buy another Painmaster.

Do I put the pads back in the plastic they came with?

The plastic features a unique coating on one side, which enhances the longevity of the pads by facilitating frequent removal and reapplication. Please ensure to affix the pads onto the right side. Adhering them to other surfaces when not in use, will reduce their lifespan.

Can I use Painmaster together with medication?

There should be no problems to mix them, as MCT patches work in a different way to medication. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor. Please do not use Painmaster either over or near transdermal drug delivery patches.
